A few days ago I filled out the shippy meme and one of the questions asked who'd I'd like to see on a double date. Well, clearly the answer is Gwen & Morgana and Merlin & Arthur.

Well, the awesome fitzette wrote an epically fabulous AU with just that set-up: the OT4 on a double date. It's Merlin/Arthur which culminates in angry sex and it's so delicious. fitzette has these really gorgeous way of writing - concise and clear, tight pacing, well-placed humour and pitch perfect characterisation. Everything is spot-on, just the way I like it. ;-)

I'm not a huge fan of Snape/Black, but I gave this a shot - and you should, too. The dynamic makes for brutally hot sex - and what I really enjoyed here was the narration and point-of-view techniques. The writing is utterly refreshing from anything I've read lately.

To end my two month writing break, I took drabble requests from my flist, intending to write 100-to-200 words each. I should have known this was a doomed mission.
